Bear Paw Guide Service
Thank you for your interest in hunting black bear with us at Bear Paw Camp located in Estaire near Sudbury, Ontario. In 2008 our hunt begins August 15 and runs through September. You will be bow or gun hunting over pre-baited sites (we use mostly sweets and some meat scraps) with permanent tree stands. You may want to bring your own tree stand. Most shooting distances are 15-20 yards, although these ranges can be increased for hunters using firearms. Due to increased fuel costs and the lower exchange rate, our black bear guide fees for are $770 US. Your fee covers all aspects of your bear hunt. Additional costs include your accommodations (with or without meals), your non-resident black bear license ($185.00 CDN in 2007) and an export permit ($35 CDN) Fishing licenses are also available. (Visit the Ministry of Natural Resources Black bear Hunting website here. Note that we are in WMU 42) IMPORTANT - Please remember to bring along a valid State hunting license. Also, a vest and hat of hunter orange MUST be worn during the fall hunt. If you are bringing firearms into Canada, a permit is required for border crossing. This form can be downloaded from Canada Firearms Centre website,. The permit covers one or more firearms per person and it is advisable to complete these forms in advance. Black bear sign is plentiful and we are once again looking forward to another successful bear hunting season. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us. I urge you to book early. We require a $300 US deposit for each hunter. We accept Visa and Mastercard but must apply a 4% credit card surcharge. Please make your deposit cheques payable to Marty Quinn and send it to the address below. Thanking you in advance, Marty and Jane Quinn c/o Mid-North Archery and Bear Paw Guide Service
